West Sound Birth Network is a local chapter of BirthNetwork National, a non-profit grassroots organization which is committed to promoting the awareness and availability of mother-friendly maternity care. West Sound Birth Network was started in December 2010, out of a desire for professionals and consumers to work together to help improve the emotional and physical outcomes of births in our community.

We are committed to seeing positive changes for the families of Kitsap County, and are rapidly expanding our network of volunteers to ensure that this happens. 

West Sound Birth Network advocates mother-friendly care, as outlined in the CIMS Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative, as well as the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
